What's Covered

Unlike most MOT insurance policies, Volvo MOT Insurance covers almost all faults. The full list below contains the specific parts whose repair or replacement cost is covered by the insurance. The parts specified are covered as a direct consequence of being cited in an MOT fail sheet (Form VT30) as causing the vehicle to fail.

Lighting Equipment
Lamps, reflectors, indicators and bulbs are covered for failure due to breakages, discolouration, misalignment, water ingress and corrosion.

Steering and Suspension
Manual and power steering units, suspensions drag links, track rods/ends, shock absorbers, steering joints, mountings, sub frames and wheel bearings are covered for failure due to wear, seizure, leakage and insecurity.

Braking System
Brake master cylinder, wheel cylinder, callipers, discs/drums, load compensator, ABS modulator/sensors/computers and brake pipes, hoses, cables are covered for failure due to wear, leakage, seizure, split/cracks, corrosion and adjustment.

Seat Belts
Mountings, belts, retractors and buckles are covered for failure due to wear, non-function and insecurity.

Vehicle Structure
Vehicle structure is covered for corrosion.

Fuel System
Carburettors, fuel injection system, fuel ECU and fuel pipes are covered for failure to meet MOT exhaust gas emission standards.

General
Windscreen wipers and washer motors.

Where liability for the cost of repairs is admitted, the insured will be reimbursed for repair costs, up to a maximum aggregate of £750 including VAT during the period of insurance.

IMPORTANT
Please note that this insurance does not cover the following: accidental or malicious damage, neglect or wear and tear reported during the vehicle's previous service, actual tuning or adjustments to the fuel system and windscreen wiper motors, tyres, wheels, exhaust systems, catalytic converters.
