Volvo has one of the widest ranges of lower emission models available, with DRIVe versions offered on most models.
From the ultra-low emission 99g/km C30 DRIVe with Start/Stop to the surprisingly efficient XC60 crossover with just 154g/km, there really is a DRIVe Volvo to suit all budgets.
DRIVe variants are available on the C30, S40, V50, S80, V70 XC60 and XC70 ranges, while a DRIVe version of the all-new S60 will be launched later this year.
NEW C30
Volvo’s C30 Sports Coupe brings the best of both worlds – sporty looks, which stand out from the crowd, yet fuel economy and C02 emissions, which a supermini would be proud of. The C30 is also equipped, making it an ideal choice for user-choosers wanting to stand out from the crowd, while for companies the 100% writing-down allowances offered by the DRIVe model make it an ideal choice.
S40
The Volvo S40, which is What Car? Green car of the year excels when it comes to comfort. The spacious saloon comes with automatically designed seats as standard, which are sculpted to your body to create a comfortable drive. And the S40 offers strong real world performance, as well as having room for all the family. Factor in a high level of standard equipment and a wide range of petrol and diesel engines, and the S40 ticks all boxes.
V50
The Volvo V50 is an ideal family holdall, but it doesn’t cost a fortune. Versatile and comfortable to drive, the V50 DRIVe also delivers up to 72.4mpg (combined cycle). With a generous 1,307 cubic litres of load space, the Volvo V50 is designed to take any situation in its stride. This makes it the perfect choice for any fleet and with the DRIVe models delivering CO2 from 104g/km, it makes perfect business sense too

A host of safety features, such as City Safety as standard, are available to keep occupants safe at all times.
V70
With generous interior space and versatile seating arrangements, the V70 can cope with anything the family throws at it and with CO2 emissions of just 119g/km from the DRIVe version, it costs surprisingly little in terms of whole life costs and driver taxation.
S80
The Volvo S80, with a new lowered Dynamic chassis, delivers a thrilling ride. Yet it is also the height of Scandinavian elegance, combining powerful lines with understated luxury and inside the luxury reaches new levels, with a cabin that cossets and delights in equal measure. But luxury doesn’t have to cost the earth, and thanks to the new, improved DRIVe version emitting just 119g/km of CO2 drivers will pay BIK tax based on the lowest 13% banding for diesels.
XC60
Chunky off-road looks don’t always have to be accompanied by high running costs. The Volvo XC60, which has been named best SUV by Fleet News and Fleet World, blends the raised ride height and go-anywhere ability with a range of economical engines, including a front wheel drive diesel version which emits just 154g/km of CO2, giving SUV style with low tax bills. And with combined fuel economy of 47.9mpg the XC60 DRIVe stretches the time between visits to the fuel pump. City Safety technology comes as standard to mitigate incidents below 19mpg.
XC70
The XC70 blends the practical, versatile base of the V70 estate with a raised ride height and extra body protection to make it a car for all occasions. Not only does the XC70 boast the best of both worlds, it is easy on the wallet, with the DRIVe two-wheel drive model falling under the key 160g/km threshold for enhanced writing down allowances.
DRIVe TOWARDS ZERO EMISSIONS
Volvo has set itself stringent challenges in terms of reducing the emissions from its cars.
Following on from the successful DRIVe models, which offer outstanding fuel economy and CO2 emission levels, Volvo is now working on the next generation of fuel saving technologies.
The DRIVe towards Zero plan will result in average CO2 emissions from its range of between 90 and 100g/km of CO2 by the year 2020
